Somalia's Parliament approved the country's 2019 budget

Mogadishu- The Lower House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia has approved a $340 million budget for the financial year 2019 anonymously . The Lower house members voted collectively for the 2019 Financial budget in majority voting of 174 out of 275 of the overall members of the national assembly submitted by the Ministry of the Finance.
During the session, all 174 lawmakers endorsed the budget and no one has rejected or obtained from the voting. The cabinet has last October approved a $340 million budget for the financial year 2019, the largest in recent years tripling the 2013 budget which stood at $114 million. The budget which is also an increase of $70 million from last years $274 will see its financing drawn from the domestic market, international donors and governments.
Somalia has been the most corrupt country on the planet for the last two decades, according to the International Financial Institutions.

Mogadishu- Somali government has ordered the top United Nations   top envoy in the country to leave, accusing him of interfering with national sovereignty. The foreign affairs ministry said on Tuesday that Nicholas Haysom, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia, "is not required and cannot work in this country", referring him as 'persona non grata'. UN experts to hear recording of Jamal Khashoggi’s murder

File: Murdered Journalist Jamal Khashoggi A visiting United Nations-sponsored team of legal and forensic experts will listen to voice recordings related to the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a Turkish official says. “They will listen to the voice recordings,” Yasin Aktay, an Adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, told reporters in Ankara, where he met UN human rights expert Agnes Callamard and her team. The UN visit comes nearly four months after Khashoggi, a Saudi national and vocal critic of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was murdered inside Riyadh’s consulate in Istanbul.  Saudi Arabia insists that his death was a “rogue operation” and has put 11 defendants on trial for the crime.
