Somali regional court sentenced three men to death for raping, killing a 12-aged girl

Garowe-Somali regional court in Garowe town on Sunday sentenced three suspected aged-men whom were found guilty of raping and killing a teenage girl, Asho Ilyas in Galkayo two months ago.

The court in Garowe announced to exercise the death penalties against three verdicted men, namely Abdifatah Abdirahman Warsame, Abdisalan Abdirahaman Warsame and Abdishakur Mohamed Dige.
Today’s sentenced aged men were including two brothers, that was ashamed by everyone.
According to the court chairman, this case would have an appeal for 30 days beginning from today. In recent months, Puntland region has been witnessing a wave of ruthless rape cases against young girls that led a personal dread for many young girls in this region and across Somalia.

File: Murdered Journalist Jamal Khashoggi A visiting United Nations-sponsored team of legal and forensic experts will listen to voice recordings related to the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a Turkish official says. “They will listen to the voice recordings,” Yasin Aktay, an Adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, told reporters in Ankara, where he met UN human rights expert Agnes Callamard and her team.
